Covert Destruction

 She said, "I'm building."

I replied excitedly, "You know how to build?"

She said, "yes, and so do you.."

I was taken aback...

In shock, I asked, "I do?'

"Yes," was her reply.

I asked, what did I build?

But there was no response, and I knew.

It wasn't going to be that simple.

So I accepted the silence and moved on to the next question.

"What are you building?" I asked.

"A mountain." was her quick reply..

"Oh really? What are you going to call it?"

And in the back of my mind I was thinking Everest,

But she replied confidently, "Everett."

I knew what I heard, and even though my mind wanted to correct

what I clearly heard, I repeated the answer allowed.. "Everett?"

"Yes." she responded.

My mind made the connection right away.

Everett was a guy in the movie The Family Stone...

Everett was the guy who wanted the Family ring in

order to make mommy happy before she died of breast cancer.

But the mom wouldn't give the ring to him because she knew

he didn't really love the girl he was with.

------------------------------------------

And she wondered about this vision that was given to her

by her inner child...

A mother dying of breast cancer represented that the mother

was nurturing everyone else yet neglecting her own

self nurturing needs which went against the order of God.

However...

When she saw that her son was about to lie to himself

for her own happiness, she couldn't allow it.

This was the pride above all sins..

When one goes against God In themselves,

then tries to correct others of the same thing when they

themselves haven't even corrected it in themselves.

And so there it was.

Her truth...

She enjoyed building illusions of self entitlement.

Through spirituality.

She was an illusionist, a narcissist.

A magician of her own disappearance.

It was time to give up the wand.

It was time to accept it that she was no better then anyone else.

In fact... she was just as flawed as the rest of them.

And so today marked the day where she finally

allowed her card castle

to get blown over as it should have

a long time ago.

And it all came crashing down around her finally.
