Real Men Just Know

It's been a while since she last wrote anything about anyone.

She mostly stuck to writing about her life experiences.

Yet, today, she wanted to write a little more about

Feelings..

Nothing more than Feelings.

Okay, no...

She was going to write about her Friday night.

Friday she knew she was going to go out dancing.

She knew because she felt it in her soul.

She loved music and she loved to feel it in her moves.

It was who she was.

Earlier in the day...

She had told her Plutonic boyfriend,

 "Let's hang tonight?"

To which he replied with a yes of some sort,

but then ran off quickly that morning.

Lately, every morning,

he would lie to her that he was going to do one thing,

then ran around and did other things instead.

He claimed he didn't want to feel controlled,

but clearly he was hurting the wrong person

instead of those who truly were secretly controlling him.

His Family.

However, she knew that his family situation was for him

to deal with on his own, and that she couldn't interfere with it

even if she tried.

So...

In all reality, she already knew that this

Friday was going to be no different then the previous one.

So...

She decided to stop.

To stop being

 The one

 to be let down.

The one

 To be lied to.

The one

To continue to put her life and joys on hold.

And she told herself,

Today, we go and do exactly what we want and need.

And that was to Dance.

Come night time, she texts her man, and surely enough

he's stuck in another city, waiting for buses and trains.

She knew they had a plan and his lying and scheming

was not going to cut it this time.

She was going to go out and have fun.

And she did.

She put on her best outfit.

And she danced the night away.

She didn't care who was looking.

She was enjoying herself too much to worry about that.

And with her energy of enjoyment, a waitress brought over a beer

for her from a man over by a table.

She lifted the beer in gratitude towards him and mouthed

the words "Thank You".

He smiled and she took a sip.

Then she hit the dance floor where a guy showed up

and asked her for a dance.

She obliged.

They danced and then she thanked him and went on her way.

She loved how she was still able to enjoy herself

no matter what was crashing down behind her.

Those who wanted to be in her life, made an effort.

Those who didn't got left behind.

And that was the measure of a true man.

In her opinion.

Till next time.
