Hocus Pocus Joke-us

 It was 12:27am December 15th, 2024. 

The Full moon in Gemini was fast approaching.

She could feel it 

The intensity of the truths she was hiding within her,

couldn't hide any longer. 

It had been her day off, and all day, all she could do

was help those around her 

out of a sense of obligation.

Even when she went to do her laundry, all she could do 

was work.

 Rather than do something she enjoyed,

she just sat there texting rooms for rent,

in hopes of finding one that could help set her 

free. 

Free from the running. 

From the need to find some space which she could 

call her own.

 

But to no such luck did she accomplish anything,

and she knew why. 

She knew exactly why. 

As she sat in a closet typing away on her laptop,

she realized how much she had crumbled. 

When she was in Florida with her mother,

it was yet another time and place where she had

felt completely unwelcome. 

She would hide in a room, lock the door at night 

and just pray for protection 

as if some form of demon would come out of her 

and destroy everyone in sight.

So she protected them.

But was that really right?

Was she the monster?

Or is that what they wanted her to believe?

Here she was once again, sitting in a closet, 

sleeping on a couch, getting bit up by bed bugs all 

the nights long... 

Working a job where they wouldn't listen to her 

desires or wishes... 

even though she was bringing in joy and abundance

by the dozens. 

Something was off. 

Maybe it was her. 

Maybe she needed to stop sacrificing for everyone

and everything. 

But how?

That was the million dollar question.

How could she stop?

Especially when she needed them for survival?

Without money there was no life. 

There was no living... 

So she was stuck. 

There was no way out.... 

Except to drink herself to death. 

Or was she wrong? 

She could believe that.. 

Cuz all her life she was always wrong. 

Everyone always left her. 

People looked at her like she was crazy. 

So screw them she thought. 

She didn't need anyone. 

However, she did need to lie in order to survive.

And so that is what she had been doing ever since. 

She was a liar. 

She knew that. 

But she had to. 

In order to be accepted into this world. 

She had to lie. 

Otherwise, she was on her own. 

And the last time she tried that, 

she ended up homeless. 

So... 

There's that. 

 but maybe...

Just maybe...

There was another way? 

Would the Gemini Full Moon reveal it to her?
