Yet wasn't quite sure what it was that was looming over
her head, until she opened her tent and took that first step out
into the bright light.
It's as if a veil had been lifted...
And as she climbed out all the way she saw up ahead Three men
coming up the hill...
She knew right away that they were not the Three musketeers...
One of the men was in an all black attire and had a gun at his side.
The guy to his left wore all blue, which to her represented the typical
blue collar worker..
And to the right of the man in black, was what appeared to be
the young geeky boss of the blue collared worker..
As the three men approached her, she felt the last bit of
the haze in her head take over and cloud her mind one last time...
As they asked her question after question, she couldn't really
catch the answers running all amuck in her brain...
However, she did catch herself getting all smug and snappy.
How dare they come at her without giving her a cup of coffee first.
Who did they think they were???
The Mafia?
She was actually glad they weren't.
She knew she was not supposed to be there.
But she did see how her truthful answers struck them and
actually made them back down off of her.
It was almost as if her truthful words demanded respect
no matter what the situation was.
She promised them she would do what the law stated,
and they left her with confidence that she would do
the right thing.
There was no harsh feelings.
Not for her, not for them.
